She grew up on her parents’ vineyard in Sommerloch, traveled the world, and in the end she unerringly found her way back home. Laura lived in America for a year and was particularly impressed by the Grand Canyon. She is now studying International Wine Business in Geisenheim.
Her favorite wine is a fruity rosé which she likes to enjoy with friends and with a view of the Nahe valley.
For Laura, Nahe wine offers the opportunity to communicate with people. For this reason, she would also like to send 100 bottles of it to the wonderful people she got to know on her travels.
As NaheWineQueen, Laura wants to bring younger people into closer contact with wine so that they don’t forget enjoyment alongside their success-oriented day-to-day life.
She is an enthusiastic winegrower who lives in Bad Münster at Stein-Ebernburg, and she wants to pass on to others what making wine means to her during her year-long term of office. True to the motto “Think Global, Drink Local,” she wants to show that the most wonderful wines are produced on the doorstep.
Now that she has finished her wine-growing apprenticeship, she is now also starting a degree course in wine cultivation in Geisenheim.
In addition to wine, she is an enthusiastic soccer fan, and she doesn’t miss an opportunity to watch a game with 1.FC Kaiserslautern.
When it comes to films, Harry Potter wins every time.
Her food preferences are down-to-earth, and she raves about her mother’s cheese spread, which she likes to enjoy with a fruity Müller-Thurgau. To her, it is one of the most underestimated grape varieties.
After completing her apprenticeship as a domestic services manager, she is now also undertaking an apprenticeship in wine growing. This is not a great surprise, as even as a child on her parents’ vineyard in Monzingen, her favorite activity was sitting on her father’s lap and driving the tractor.
Now, what she particularly appreciates in a wine is the passion of the winegrower when making it. She would like to send 100 bottles to festival organizers so that wine is served instead of beer.
Nahe wine represents home for Rebecca and good food makes her happy. Nahe wine is not only her profession, it’s also her passion and that’s exactly what she wants to pass on during her term of office.
As her hobby is photography, she will be able to document plenty of her impressions over the coming year.
