Johanna Lorenz is a student of international wine economics in Geisenheim. Having grown up in the wine-growing community of Guldental and in a family-run winery, Weinhaus Lorenz, she has always found viticulture fascinating. Her goal during her tenure is to raise awareness of the region, wine and wine tourism attractions. She also wants to celebrate the work of the winemakers and the philosophy behind the product. She wants to clarify the diversity of the Nahe and bring it closer to the people to motivate them to visit the beautiful wine region.
Growing up in her parents' vineyard in Braunweiler, viticulture has always shaped her life. So she decided to study viticulture & oenology at Geisenheim University. In her year in office as wine majesty, she would like to increase the level of awareness of the Nahe wines, especially outside the region. She sees it as an important task to convey the importance of locally produced wines and foodstuffs to society and to strengthen their appreciation. For her, it was clear from an early age that she would like to represent the Nahe wine as majesty.
The trained court employee comes from Hallgarten and now lives in Bad Kreuznach. She appreciates the huge diversity of the Nahe wine-growing region. For her, there is something new to discover at every turn. Cultural-historical monuments, exciting hiking trails, enjoyable gastronomy and, of course, great wines. A glass of Nahe wine in the evening puts the crown on her perfect day. Her wine favorite is a fruit-driven rosé, which she loves to enjoy with friends and the view of the Nahe Valley. During her office as Nahe wine majesty, she would like to inspire her fellow men for the Nahe wine.
